And so it begins..

Hi, it’s Mitzi! Remember me? I truly hope so LOL

It occurred to me that I started my very first blog exactly ten years ago. It was the Spring of 2015 when The Bloggin’ Mamacita was created…WHOA! Memories! A year later right after I turned 40, I decided to rebrand and The Innovative Latina was born. I always loved to write so my blog served as my creative outlet and most often as a stress reliever. Along the way, I was gifted several great opportunities to write for other blogs and I earned a couple of sponsored posts too.

My actual last blog post was sometime in 2020 and before that, it had been more than a year since that post. If you know me personally, then you already know that 2018 and 2019 were filled with many amazing and sad moments at the same time. There were often many breaks in between posts because I never forced myself to write. I’m being honest when I say that sometimes it was just hard to get started again. I struggled with all the many reasons why I wanted to continue and the reasons why I didn’t. During all of this, I missed the deadline to log into my site and save all of my posts so needless to say, I lost pretty much all of them. Devasted doesn’t even begin to describe it but I couldn’t allow myself to dwell on it for too long.

And just like that…Here we are!

During the holidays, I pondered the thought of starting a new blog. However, inside I knew that this time around it had to be different but also some of the same. I was sitting up in bed just playing around on my Ipad while watching the latest season of Lincoln Lawyer. I opened up the notes app and started brainstorming names for my new blog. I knew that I didn’t want to rush it this time around. I wanted to take my time and make sure that the name matches me perfectly for this stage of my life. Thankfully I remembered that at some point last year, I was searching through my laptop and I was able to find several posts. I was so happy and relieved. I have reposted them here if you’ve never had the chance to read them. Also if you’re new to my blog, they will serve as a means to get to know me.

One day I will share what I have been up to but those are posts that I will share in the future. In the meantime, you can save my blog to your favorites and follow me on Instagram for future blog post updates and more.

I believe that God has given us a purpose and a passion for something. For me, this blog is an expression of what that looks like for me. With that, I believe that my passion was reignited by this new journey in my Faith. In closing, I truly hope that I can inspire you through my posts no matter the topic. We can all find inspiration in everyday things if we take the time to look closely enough.
