El Cafecito de las Tres: Current faves

Hi everyone!

What can I say, I was scrolling through my emails and that’s when it hit me… Girl!! You need to start writing because yet again, I forgot about my little blog. It’s ok, you can laugh because I am cracking up. I’m going to take this as my queue to get to it. So what better way to get back into it than to bring back my favorite blog series, Cafe de las Tres except this time, we’re gonna switch it up and call it El Cafecito de las Tres (*Our 3pm coffee break)

The origin of the saying “El Cafecito de las Tres“

It originates from Puerto Rico, where it evolved into a beloved cultural tradition in the 19th century. The saying emerged from the island’s booming coffee industry during that era. The 3 o’clock hour served as a natural afternoon pause for rural farmworkers to recharge their energy. Over time, this mid-afternoon break became a sacred daily ritual for families and friends to gather, socialize, and catch up while enjoying freshly brewed, milky, and sweetened coffee.

If you’re new to my blog, this was a mini series where I used to share mini life updates, current faves and more. I tried to post them on some type of a schedule. I normally keep these posts short in an effort to keep them interesting which in turn would encourage you to come back for more.

Ok, let’s get right into it. This is just a short list of things that I have been loving lately and over the last few months.

  • 7 Brews ~ Sunrise 7 Energy Drink *Flavor: Peach Raspberry
  • Starbucks Mango Strawberry Energy Refresher
  • Nespresso Starbucks Iced Double Shot Blonde Roast Capsules *I get them @ Target.
  • Ollie’s Store – I can’t describe it but I can tell you that if you can find one near you, GO! They literally have a bit of everything: housewares, stationary & books, tons of cleaning products, home maintenance stuff and so much more! I can say that while I have found quite a few bargains there, many of their prices can be compared to the prices at Big Lots or Ocean State Job Lot stores.

  • Sullivan’s Crossing ~ Netflix *Drama similiar to Virgin’s River (Neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan reconnects with her small-town past after a scandal causes her to leave her professional and personal life behind in the city).
  • The Pitt ~ HBO Max *If you liked Noah Wyle in the original medical drama E.R., then you’re gonna love watching this show. It’s fast paced and was rated the most accurate

Ok well, I am going to end this for now.. It’s Saturday night and I’m going to finish watching the third season of Sullivan’s Crossing before season 4 comes to Netflix next week. No worries, I will be sharing a mini life update really soon so make sure to stay tuned…
